Yoga Mel

Movement. Breath. Presence. Yoga is a return to yourself. In a fast-paced world, it offers space to slow down, move mindfully, and find inner peace. It cultivates strength, flexibility, and the ability to truly feel the present moment. Yoga brings harmony between body, mind, and everyday life. Start where you are. Breathe. Move. Be here.

Portfolio Mel

I’ve been devoted to yoga with heart and soul since 2012, when I completed an accredited training program at the Yoga Academy in Piešťany (Levels 1, 2, and 3). Since then, I’ve been teaching power and vinyasa yoga, continuously refining my skills through numerous workshops led by world-class instructors.

Every year I participate in international yoga festivals, where I draw inspiration from experienced teachers from all over the world. My love for yoga also led me to children's yoga, for which I received a special certificate, and children are always a great joy and motivation for me.

I filmed a short instructional video for a yoga lesson for MTT - Trnava city television, which also visited us and filmed a report on the 108 sun salutations event. I appeared as a guest on Aetter and Trnavské rádio radios, where I had the opportunity to spread awareness about yoga and its benefits. I also recorded a relaxing audio "Yoga nidra - deep yoga sleep" in an HD studio, which helps to regenerate the body and mind.

I also worked at the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava (UCM) at the Faculty of Mass Media Communication (FMK) in the Department of Physical Education and Sports, where I taught yoga to students during the semester. This experience was very enriching for me and allowed me to connect yoga with the academic environment. The students highly praised the yoga classes, which was also reflected in their increasing interest. The number of participants increased every year - I started with a group of 50 students, and in the last semester there were already 250. In addition to the growing interest, the students also positively evaluated the impact of yoga on their academic results and reduced stress levels.

I have organized various yoga events in unique locations, such as the synagogue, summer yoga at Slavia, the castle in Hlohovec, the manor house in Galanta, or special events, such as 108 sun salutations at the solstice and equinox. My work also includes thematic lessons, such as Christmas yoga, or a combination of running and yoga. I had the honor of inviting guests such as Dechen Thurman, Simona Duráková, Monika Konečná, and collaborating with brands such as Red Bull or the digital marketing agency HYPE.

My work extends beyond my hometown – I have led classes and events in cities such as Nitra, Hlohovec and Galanta. I have attended various workshops focused on acroyoga and ashtanga yoga, which have enriched my perspective on different approaches and techniques.

I have developed a unique concept of beginner classes that I have successfully and enthusiastically taught. My classes are characterized by a friendly atmosphere and an emphasis on motivation, which helps clients achieve their inner and outer goals. I especially enjoy open vinyasa flow classes, where I connect the dynamics of movement with the harmony of the mind.

What you need to know

Are you planning your first yoga class? Great decision! To help you feel comfortable and prepared, here are some practical tips:

👖 Comfortable clothes 🩱

Choose clothes that allow you to move freely – for example, leggings, sweatpants, a t-shirt or a tank top. We practice barefoot, but if you tend to get cold, you can bring non-slip socks. A sweatshirt or sweater is also suitable for final relaxation.

🧘 Yoga Mat 🧍

If you have your own yoga mat, feel free to bring it. If not, we will be happy to lend you one on site. However, your own mat is more hygienic and will definitely come in handy over time.

🧺 Towel 🧴

A small towel may come in handy - for sweating, as a hygienic layer on a rented mat, or as support under your knees or forehead during some positions.

🍎 Food and drink 🍌

We recommend not eating for at least 1.5-2 hours before the workout. If you need to, have something light. You can bring water, but you won't need it much during the lesson.

⏰ Come early ⏳

Our yoga starts on time – and every moment counts. Come a few minutes early so you can catch your breath… before you take your first breath. 🌿

❤️ Health restrictions 💪

If you have any pain, injuries or are pregnant, please let us know before the lesson. We will be happy to adapt the exercise for you.

🧠 Remember 👣

Yoga is not about performance, but about connecting with yourself. Come with an open mind, breathe, feel and enjoy every movement. We look forward to seeing you!
